And I understand that, it happens almost all the time with the games which get adapted to anime. There was a huge hype over this anime but I guess it didn't really live up to the expectations. I won't spoil it for you, but if you decide to play the game get ready and expect ANYTHING to happen. But the game has some concepts that the anime doesn't. If you liked the anime, or if you want a better insight of the anime, definitely check out the game, it's really good. You won't really see that in other games, so the characters are unique which is always a + when it comes to me. In this case, there's a gas mask boy, a nerd-but-cool-computer-whiz boy, long haired biker hulk boy freaking TARZAN, aaaand a handsome ''ladies'' boy. This is probably because the art in the game is really good, so people got disappointed by the animation. but it turned out well and balanced in the end. I expected a much more awkward story with everything mixed together and messed up. They way they adapted the story and put it all together was well done. So the story of Dmmd is based on 20 something y/o man boy called Aoba (it's the blue haired one, you probably saw it on Tumblr) and him finding out his true identity (and his true sexuality). However I WILL admit that Aoba's moaning in-game is a talent. I loved the story and all, except the explicit scenes I played the game, even thought I'm not a fan of BL and yaoi. And again, it was all rushed to fit into one episode which…wasn’t a good idea. I can’t bring myself to say that this was a good OVA simply because all of the content was the horrifying bad endings that show Aoba suffering over and over again. And they decided an OVA with snippets of all of the bad endings was a good idea but…no. But, with all visual novels, you can get good endings…and bad endings. It’s kind of hard to explain the story but it has to do with virtual fighting games and people disappearing and Aoba’s magical hair and his odd powers. The visual novel was much better as the anime tried to compact so much into way too little episodes. It was quite hard to find a screenshot of the OVA that wasn’t completely inappropriate…ĭramatical Murder is a yaoi visual novel that got an anime adaption not too long ago.
